A spin on southern style sweet tea – this Honey Mint Iced Tea is so refreshing in the summertime! If you have a garden, it’s such a great way to use homegrown mint. Sip at your next backyard barbecue or on a hot summer afternoon!
Recipe: Honey Mint Iced Tea
Ingredients:
- 8 cups freshly brewed black iced tea (hot brew)
- ¼ cup honey
- 4 sprigs fresh mint + extra for garnish
Directions:
- Rinse fresh mint and set aside.
- Brew black tea according to package instructions.
- Remove tea bags. While tea is hot, stir in honey until dissolved.
- Add 4 fresh mint sprigs and steep for about 30 minutes.
- Using a slotted spoon, remove mint.
- Pour tea in tall glasses over ice. Garnish with a mint sprig & enjoy!
Notes:
- Allow iced tea to cool at room temperature for about an hour before refrigerating.
- Store in a sealed glass pitcher in refrigerator. For best tasting tea, drink within 48 hours.
- I use Luzianne black iced tea to make this recipe. It’s so smooth and delicious every time!
