How to Make Infused Water

Nutrition Tips

Infused water is a refreshing way to stay hydrated all day long! It also gives water a hint of flavor without added sugars or sweeteners. Making infused water at home is so simple and completely customizable. It’s just water, fresh fruit, vegetables, and/or fresh herbs. Not only is it such a great way to use up any extra fresh produce, infused water mixes it up. Here are some of my personal favorites!

Infused water ideas:

Cucumber + honeydew melon + fresh mint

Orange + blackberries

Raspberries + Meyer lemon

Mixed berries: strawberries + blackberries + blueberries + raspberries

Classic lemon + lime

Lemon + cucumber + fresh mint

Watermelon + cantaloupe + honeydew

How to make infused water:

  1. Wash fresh produce and herbs. Chop or slice ingredients depending on produce.
  2. Add desired amount of fruits, vegetables, or fresh herbs to a pitcher.
  3. Pour chilled filtered water or plain sparkling water over ingredients.
  4. Infuse for at least 2-4 hours in refrigerator. The flavor will be stronger the longer the ingredients infuse.
  5. Using a slotted spoon, remove the fruit, vegetables, or fresh herbs. Serve chilled!

Note: After removing fruit, veggies, or fresh herbs from water, enjoy as a little snack.

How to store infused water:

  • Store infused water in air tight container or pitcher with a lid in the refrigerator for up to a week.
